ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Zoe, I'm a small-town artist based in Golden, BC

I'm glad you're here.

I started my journey in art as a bit of a late bloomer, but I was always drawn to art as a child. My mom would tell you every picture she has of me I'm covered in some kind of medium. I didn't self-label myself until I was in the 9th grade. I was in my first art class and I found I didn't just love art, especially painting, I had a passion for it. As a 14-year-old, I thought I had all the answers in the world, and I definitely thought I was too cool for school. Finding my love for art gave my life some real direction, it got me excited about my future and it made me enjoy school again. I only wish there had been more options for me to explore, and that brings me to why I do what I do.  I started teaching a few kids from my neighbourhood at 16, and by 20 I was hired by the elementary schools to teach in each class annually.

I'm excited to officially open my business as Zoe's Colour Cove at 24, now as a mother, I'm even more passionate about being an entrepreneur, and sharing my love for art with all of you! I hope I get the opportunity too, whoever you are.
